25 June at 19:30 in the cinema MaxX Isartorplatz 8, 80931 Munich It has been a demanding and time consuming project: preparing the film and securing the financing in 2004 and 2005, promoted at Arte as “Grand Format” by Dagmar Mielke of RBB, supported by Jutta Krug of WDR, funded by the Filmstiftung NRW (Film Foundation of Northrhine-Westphalia), we were finally able in 2006 to make the film – in spite of constant harassment and obstruction by Russian officialdom. In the cut by Kawe Vakil, RUBLYOVKA – ROAD TO BLISS will be shown for the first time to a bigger audience. The film explores the inner workings of the new Russian power brokers and is a fascinating and frightening social portrait of Putin’s Russia. Hopefully we can show the film in your country too.
