The central prison of the Ministry for State security in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen in the former GDR was no ordinary penitentiary. The building has still the traces of recent German history, the Nazi dictatorship, the Soviet occupation and the Communist dictatorship – has the uncanny originality own as many interrogation rooms such as prison cells.
