Ein Film von Wolfgang Bergmann, 45 Min., Streaming
The German Red Cross voluntarily and without any resistance integrated itself into the Nazi system of war and extermination. Until today – 1995 – this topic has been taboo. The DRK’s own historiography skips over this period; the president of the era from 1933 to 1945, the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, an SA group leader, is missing from the gallery of ancestors at today’s headquarters in Bonn.
