The new year got off to a good start in January, when Irene Langemann was awarded the FIPA d’Or in Biarritz in the category ‘Musique et Spectacle’. As the sole German film MARTINS’ PASSION was able to succeed against strong competition at the Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuelles. “The triumphal march of MARTINS’ PASSION”, is how the trade magazine Blickpunkt Film entitled its article when the film also won the Banff Rockie Award in the category Art and as well first prize at the St. Petersburg ‘Message to Man’ Festival. But it was an arduous journey.
